Let’s make it stronger.
We have been together for such a long time,
The flow of emotions was all so divine,
Day after day and night after night,
We painted our moments on the canvas of life.
Want this season to last a little longer.
Let’s make it stronger
Music of life was so loud and clear,
Played the tunes of amity; it was so very dear,
Words were our heartbeats and happiness was all around.
Felt the beats in silence and found rhythm in awkward sounds.
Want this tune to last a little longer.
Let’s make it stronger.
And when end seems to be near and got everything to fear,
A voice deep down inside, I want you to hear.
It will tell you of seasons, it will tell you about the songs,
It will tell you the reason why the rights were never wrongs.
Oh! Let these moments last a little longer,
Let’s make it stronger.

Ethics In India Is Just A Passing Fashion.
I guess it's not about bad governance or failure of the legal machinery, it signifies that we as citizens have lost our right to govern ouselves. Honesty and hardwork have become poles apart and we are turning our backs to this phenomena. Unless we reclaim this right from the clutches of ignorance and corruption we will have to bear the brunt of this monster which threatens to bite it's own master.

Imagination Is More Powerful Than Knowledge
One can also discover one's honest core after one realises that the money actually belongs to someone else and that one has no right to misuse it.On the contrary the latter question just makes one think in a structured and direct manner and can be aswered by using one's knowledge about such an incident or from reading articles or books. The ability of the person to think more deeply has been displayed in the former sentence where one has had the liberty to express one's thoughts in a manner that will lead to a better result.

Profit and Customer Service Go Hand In Hand
Privatisation:Need of the Hour
According to me privatization is the answer to this menace as it can very well instill accountability and discipline in people who are responsible for the smooth functioning of the system . Major government enterprises like the railways can be privatised as there is a lot of mismanagement and shabby handling of the enormous funds that are allocated to it. There are a lot of new concepts and work ethics that modern corporates practice Eg: kaizen wherein resources are used only when there is demand. All such cost saving measures are possible only when there is proper co-ordination and departmentalisation of work which can be better handled by people from private sector as they are much more competitive. In private culture you work to grow wherreas in public undertakings there is a sense of chalta hain attitude among staffers as they are guranteed growth either by periodic promotions or by seniority. Moreover private firms are like universities wherin they develop new models of growth, new ideas are encouraged. The monster of corruption is there to stay unless government wakes up and takes some measures to tackle it.I feel including private sector representatives in key areas of national interest could be adopted to begin this process.Their opinions and suggestions could prove valuable to check corruption and instill transperancy. Laws pertaining to corruption should be strengthened and the private frims should be given tax exemptions and other monetary benefits so that they voluntarily take up this task.

A Day When God Spoke
Have a lot of questions which make me feel humble,
In you I trust, as you help the one’s who tremble.
Life never comes easy, gives hardships in plenty,
Makes one look feeble and laughs out its disparity.
You are in everything that ones eye can ever see,
In limitless sky, in spiritual tree, in man’s benevolence and in flights of the free.
But when can I experience your presence?
When can I bow down at your feet?
Please tell me father, have a heavy heart to weep.
One day I got the perfect news, had done the unthinkable,
I had scaled the mountain of knowledge, till then unfathomable.
Then I felt his presence, whispering through the wind he said,
“I am in your courage; I am in your undying dream,
I am your mom’s scolding, and even in your pen’s stream.
“I am the spark that lights your rationality,
I am embedded in your thoughts and morality.”
That’s the day I intend never to forget,
For he had spoken in the language of fervor and intent.

Can Our Politicians Be Rated?
I was wondering whether such a system of accountability can be applied to our poilitical system.I agree that citizens are the ones who must appoint the politicians. But sometimes citizens can err in choosing a right candidate. Most people have a preference for a particular party beacuse they feel its ideologies are matching their own and that there have been many politicians in that party who have really worked for the people's betterment. This can be termed as ignorant quite simply because the person whom you are voting might not have the calibre or the intellect to carry forward the baton which his former party workers had carried.
Why can't we have an autonomous body which can ensure that the political parties are kept on their toes by constantly updating their popularity charts.Rating them on different parameters namely economics, poverty alleviation, price stability, crime rates etc. Such an initiative should be backed by an act of parliament which will give the agency an autonomy to carry out its research and analysis. To make the agency transparent, distinguished personalities as well as the common man should be appointed in its core committe. To keep it stain free politicians and their clan must not be allowed to participate in its proceedings.Being an agency of the people,by the people and for the people it should be well supported by the political parties by voluntarily disclosing their achievements and their shortfalls.
All this will ensure that whenever a person visits the polling booth to exercse his/her franchise they are aware of the background of the candidate, his qualification and experience.Media has a great role to play in this, by updating people about the performance of politicians and parties on a weekly basis it can truely be it's worth.Debates can be arranged among party heads based on the findings of this agency and this will definitley ensure that the wheels of democracy are moving in the right direction.
Hope my idea materialises and if not, atleast makes the people reading this article aware of their duty to do their homework before they caste their vote.
JAI HIND!

MY FIRST JOB VS ROCKET SINGH
(Hello friends! This post relates to my first brief stint with Kotak Mahindra Bank as a sales executive and how it compares with the latest installation of Yashraj Banner) After graduating the first thing I did was to search for a job.The hype created in my class coupled with a desire to gain some experience was too much of a temptation. So here is a comparison between Rocket Singh and my first job. I got a call from a placement agency which gave me the license to enter a full fledged Bank (Guys reading Vipul Prakashan text books get such distorted thinking) . Went through 2 rounds of interview and encountered two women who would play key roles in this passage.Cleared both the rounds with ease so was hoping for a positive response from them.Rocket Singh- Shimit Amin's take on sales field is very descriptive and well written and gives you an idea of sales and how it's the number that matters there. Ranbir Kapoor plays a sardar who has only sales as his career option. So he gives an interview to a very gothic looking boss who grills him in all possible ways .His boss takes him, though very reluctantly. This situation was very different from mine as my boss was showing a uncanny eagerness to have me. I was put through a training period of one and a half months wherein I had to learn how to call up account holders and make them aware about the kinda unique facilities offered by our bank. But Mr Singh is pushed into action from day one and has to meet up with clients and seal the order before others do. Training the most important part is neglected and Ranbir desperately tries to crack his first deal. Only to be let down by his conscience which withholds him from bribing a Co. official. I am sitting in my office and waiting for my boss to make us learn some new things. Her cell keeps ringing and I keep waiting. This continues for about a week. Patience is a pre-requisite for sales. Still the hype of first job continues.
So after having spent my training period virtually doing nothing it was time for me to start my tele calling job. After some days of calling I did come across the fact that this job is not for the faint hearted.
Convincing a customer by following the rule book is one thing and getting the job done is another. I did come across a feeling that the company is selling its product without any customer knowledge and research. Mumbaikars are not really known for their patience and it became more evident when they would interrupt me and ask “is this for a credit card facility?” So in order to survive I would have to bend some rules and shorten my pitch. Mr. Singh realizes that being honest is definitely not for salesman like him but this realisation comes only after he screws up a contract with a big firm. This gets his bosses pissed off and they are ready to nail the final coffin to his amateur career. He is reduced to a tele- caller and all that he does is to dodge rockets being thrown at him by his work colleagues who are burden with double sales targets due to Mr. Singh’s misadventures.
My boss was really having a torrid time handling the system failure and of relationship managers not achieving their targets. Having no phone lines working and with a poorly integrated banking software frustration was creeping in. In the mean time my targets were getting overachieved and I was subsequently rewarded with a lot of encouraging words from my boss. No monetary rewards as incentives are not given in Kotak Bank. Much to the dismay of other employees -all women .No disrespect to the fairer sex but ladies don’t like competition and definitely not in their home ground of tele calling. Mr. Singh’s colleagues were more expressive and action oriented and openly displayed their dislike to this new fellow. My colleagues were more subdued because of constant rocket attacks targeted at them from my boss. Though they were in true sense devils I sometimes felt bad for them, especially when our super boss used to hurl abuses at them. This was the movement when I realized that we are only mere mortals and that if were to reply than it would have to be from our deeds. Sense of authority was overcooked by my super boss and she used to cross her lines too often. Such incidents were not covered in Rocket Singh. With Ranbir Kapoor as the salesman how can a super boss with a fake mustache take over?
The problem with systems persisted and I along with my friend was suddenly sent to our corporate office .So after a torrid commute and after scaling to the top floor of that office building we got a big shock. The systems there would not support our data .So it was like all the efforts gone down the drain. So instead of coming back to my office I just came back home. Truly pissed off and greatly disturbed the bull inside me was banking the ground with anger. This was the start of a new cold war which had me and my boss at loggerheads. Next day my boss was at my back and she wanted an explanation. I had more than that in store for her as I took out my frustration on her. Pinpointing her undoing’s I refused to accept her explanation on work procedures and rules. Mr Singh was more humble in his approach and decided to stay mum even after his super boss calls him a zero. Any self respecting person would argue at that point but not Mr. Singh. Come on! Youngsters don’t take abuses quietly at least not in our generation.

A Mistaken Identity
Disbelief, discontent was all he had,
Only Deliusions of hope he ever had.
His days turned nights, nights of fright.
Had made a living from anger and might.
Life of a maverick was that he lived,
His life showed stills but had no thrills.
His starring eyes, reflected his state,
He showed no remorse and carried his brutal trait.
Days passed showing no interval of change,
Joy glimpsed but was confined to frames.
Heart still pumped, so had to live on,
Voice lost rhythm like a rhyme forgone.
Words were sour and came like wrath,
Made him do things from a sinister plot.
He churned out offences with confidence,
And standing on a fence, made his deeds count,
A fence self made by him with sharp,
But Alas! it was jagged at both ends.
Then a light in the darkness came,
She rescued the emotions, till then trapped in his cage.
Suddenly the world felt beautiful and gay,
Mind recalled stories mother used to say......
The values, the morals, the lessons from the past,
Used to make him believe situations made heroes out of men,
But present showed the real world,
A world taken by people of two kinds:
Souls for peace and fighting vice,
And others who kill without any surmise.
In that instance a tear rolled down his eyes,
Bringing with it reveries with promise.
Promise of peace, love and belongingness,
For the one who smiled away all his lonliness.
He held the light in his firm hands,
But this time the hands had an everlasting care.

Rainbow of Emotions
Ever reticent and calmed down.
Had few friends but never from the opposite side,
But still in hope he flied high.
Then in school he met his class,
Found new friends but maitained his class.
The lads were merry and gay,
He jelled with them from the first day.
Although reclusive but never reluctant,
This boy tried to befriend the other side present.
But all went well for the boy,
He felt content and filled with joy.
Now the times had changed,
The sides had met he claimed.
Making new friends he forgot about his class.
He ignored them and made them pass.
Although the lad behaved that way,
His class was forgiving and maintained their stay.
One fine day he was caught in a storm.
Took away his friends and made him frown.
He asked for love he asked for they,
But he got none so he made way.
The class came to console, made him sail.
They gave him courage and removed his frail.
He asked for forgiveness,
He asked them to open the chain,
So that he could bond again,
And with his class be born again.

Can my wish come true?
Its only few years since we parted,
But the undying urge is undoubted.
Forget the past my heart grunted!
But is this the thing that I really wanted?
I am in a dilema. I have a lot to prove,
Can my wish ever come true?
When I had a chance I gave it a glance,
Ignoring it, I maintained a docile stance.
Will she respond or will she not?
Makes me puzzled and engulfed in thoughts.
Will my tale be a ship without a crew?
Or can my wish ever come true?
I promise to laugh, I promise to groove,
Thorough my speech my feelings will come through.
Then I will be at peace, I will feel the warmth,
From which i I was devoid and distant from.
If thou belive that my life is you
My wish shall surely come true

A matter of Coincidence
In my dreams I search for someone,
Who can make me feel.... like I am the only one.
Hey! It ain’t tht easy..to find someone who can please me.
That girl is cute. .ya the other one’s fine,
But hard to find a girl whom I could call all mine.
Many sweet darlings with their same old talks,
Make you feel special but there ain’t no real sparks.
Have lost count of those wonderful intents,
But love for me is just a matter of coincidence.
In life’s long journey i met a lovely face,
Saw her in an orchid where beauty always stays.
Through few words I tried to capture this lovely grace.
Showed her my thoughts and showered in the praise.
Read my rhymes and she asked me the reason?
I said “Spring is always meant to be a beautiful season”
Beauty can be anyone, anything which makes sense,
But to find real love is matter of coincidence.
On Valentines Day I was searching for a date,
Was watching all the faces looking all so great.
Felt all too lonely but in destiny I had faith,
Love never came cheap and I think I should wait.
Then came the magic moment the one I’ll never forget,
She came inside my book store when everyone had left.
She recognised the person in the garden whom she met.
Comfortable moments even in harsh winter winds.
I offered her coffee and a book which i could spend,
She felt a kind of special and requested me to bring,
A book which shows love and shows its lovely zing.
Looking in her eyes I expressed my inner thing,
Love comes to all so don’t wait for any trends,
As love for me is just a matter of coincidence.

Unspoken
( if u had loved someone but didn't tell her ...this might well be the music to ur ears)
Unspoken
How should I tell you?
How should I convey?
My heart wants to, but noo way!
We both live in two worlds,
Each has its own ways.
The bridge between us- broken,
People on either sides-unspoken.
Unspkoen they may be but they are true.
Just like God almighty,
Present, but hard to prove.
Even though my emotions -unspoken,
The love and affection created for the person -outspoken.
This may prove to be the bridge which people may lay,
To spread love and remove disarray.

The Dream Weaver
The Dream Weaver
He wakes up from a dream,
Trying to get up and join the stream.
The stream boasts of strong currents,
The one in which many set sail.
Each with their own purpose to make it through,
Try to gain as much from the wind on offer.
But the wind alone won’t budge the great but insignificant a dream.
Though they float with ambitions second to none,
Still have to have a stitch which will make them closer to the one.
The Dream Weaver is the one just like any other,
Having the knack to help even in the harshest weather.
Seems strange why he should intervene,
But then he is the only one who has the future seen.
He perceives their fate not from a crystal maze,
But with an eye of a lover with his gauche ways.
He weaves on their cloth embroidered with care,
Makes their cloth rich even if he has to expenses bear.
Weaving for him isn’t devoid of pains,
Makes him struggle, with nothing much to gain.
Stitching their robes makes his eyes wet,
Still has to weave-for whom?, a question crept

"Faith of terrorists"
After the recent terror strikes in Mumbai the word has gained a different dimension. Retaining its sedistic pain the word has updated it's reach by including shallowness of human thinking, which it has conquered with the venom of hardcore religious patronage. Embracing youths who have lost their sight, promising them vision of God and in the mean time transforming them into monsters who thrive with the intention to die for their lord. Terror treats each of its enemy with brutality and vice and offers no remorse to people who have already consumed it, killing them either instantly or with a postponement that lasts an eternity.
Young lads not even in their teens get engulfed in an air which once consumed makes them breathe out flames of other persons brainchild, forcing them to take on an enemy who is branded as ' the epicentre of their miseries'. Revenge is a kind of a wild justice. It has no advocates to come up with reason. It gives terorists authority to judge an innocent man guilty without even trying him for any offence done, by him or his community. The law of terror so powerful, it can distinguish a guilty from an innocent. Here innocent word dosent hold relevance. It is either a word describing a person who has escaped or was saved by a commmando as was seen in Mumbai.
So the guilty should be grateful to a terrorist, because he has been blessed by the bullets which have the puprose written by the almighty. Though the point to be noted here is that there are two variables in this context, the terrorist and his bullets. Both are short in number. A terrorist can be killed by a commando, his bullets mught miss the targets. So the guilty should be grateful to the justice of the terrorist, as his was the case where both the variables were sucessful.
To conclude I want to share a thought. Suppose the ywo variables, the terrorist and his bullets had missed the guilty, wouldn't the justice of God be questioned. How can God discriminate between people. This proves that this entire crusade which the terrorists call 'Jihad' is illfounded and shallow.

Dead Man's chest
Arr! Roared the captain to his crew,
Prepare for a voyage and let me through,
From this place where no riches grew.
Raise the anchor, set the sails,
For there is a chest awaiting our claims.
Aye! Said the pirates to their chief,
Dreamed of glory but were only thieves.
After the order they began to think,
How on earth will their fortunes kink.
Pirates they were so there was little sense,
Each made plans which were truly non sense.
The captain fuming entered the scene.
Booted them and made them deck clean.
Arr! Roared he, and pressed his trigger,
Made them aware of his stature and vigor.
Calming his nerves he asked them to surrender,
All their greed and reduce their blunders.
But the pirates least in a mood to capitulate,
Priggishly planed to claim the chest for self palate.
The dead man’s chest claimed a tail,
Was buried in an island where human’s fail.
But knowingly the captain kept his mum,
Wanting to test the loyalty of some.
Destination reached he ordered his men,
“Search for a key and return before day end.”
So all the pirates began their quest,
Found it taxing , but did their best.
Amazingly each one of them got a key,
Which they held and roamed free.
They searched and searched and forgot the clock,
Greedily in search of the mystique lock.
As day turned to night,
All of them continued with shiver and fright.
Coolly the captain relaxed in a chair,
Read the tale with rum for his care.
The tale had warned against night and dark,
Filled with creatures that would roar and bark.
Next day the captain lowered his boat,
Reached the shore and read a quote.
“The one who refrains from greed and gives his best,
is the one who claims the dead man’s chest”

OM SHANTI OM REVIEW
Om Shanti Om has done just about everything to deceive each and every novice who would like to make a prognosis about what the flick has install for the entertainment loving public in our country as well as overseas. Well to start off the movie showcases an exhibition like dance sequence picked up from Karz, starring off course, Rishi Kapoor aka Chintu. SRK less the six packs imagines himself as Rishi Kapoor and from there on starts a ride where he happens to meet Shanti a well known actress whom he fantasizes and hopes to meet. Talking about Deepika, the newcomer (at least that is what SRK and Farah Khan wants’ us to believe) makes an ethereal entry, scintillating the silver screen with her goddess like mannerisms. The fist half is mind boggling with a right mix of laughter, drama, ethos and emotion which have become quite synonyms with Farah Khan.
The dance sequence involving Deepika and our yesteryear veteran actors is bewildering and if that wasn’t enough SRK also joins in the fun. Shreyas Talpade plays second fiddle, but only to SRK, as he supports SRK with his acting skills and precise dialogue delivery. The first half ends with the death of both leads thanks to the newest bad boy in town Mr. Arjun Rampal, who shows a us his never before seen skill – acting.
Second half makes us even more glued to our seats thanks to SRK’s re-incarnation as a Bollywood superstar Om Kapoor who throws starry tantrums, but surprisingly maintains a good soul. But that is not the end to new Om’s character as he makes sure all are entertained by his bare all item number. A song in which he pugnaciously declares that he has been ditched, well weird to be honest, but it’s “SRK” remember. But fun doesn’t end there; Farah Khan once again creates magic by bringing together some of our past and present actors in a 20 minute spectacle which highlights that no actor is having any hard feelings for each other. Hey but this a movie remember! Here is where Farah Khan is brilliant as she knows how much of zing and seasoning are required to serve a spicy filmy dish.
After the gala time is over our Om starts getting glimpses of his past life which makes him realize that he is actually a person who has been re-born. Then eventually he finds himself a mission i.e. to catch Arjun Rampal for mercilessly ending, what would have been a fairy tale love story in the making.
A movie that has everything an ideal paisa vasool film should have. If you are bored of dard-e-life try some dard-e-disco.
